 Georgia Online IEP

What is GO-IEP?

Georgia Online IEP (GO-IEP) is a web-based IEP application with an easy-to-use interface and internal checks that help teachers avoid the most common compliance issues. GO-IEP

  • Is accessible to authorized users anytime, from any internet-connected computer.
  • Provides secure web software hosting with database back-up, recovery, and archiving services.
  • Has a software maintenance process that includes management of corrections and updates for reported software problems and requested software enhancements approved by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE).
  • Provides real-time data to Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and state personnel through multiple reports.
  • Maintains records which are unique, unduplicated, and permanent.
  • Meets the requirements of Part B of IDEA.

  • Features a user-friendly interface with a user manual and technical support.

  • Includes all essential Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Eligibility features.

  • Is provided at no additional cost to the LEA.

Through GO-IEP, districts can write federally compliant IEPs, store district IEP information, report data accurately, and transfer records to other GO-IEP districts with ease.

How can GO-IEP benefit a school district?

All essential IEP and Eligibility functions are available in GO-IEP. State reported testing results, attendance, and enrollment are automatically reported in GO-IEP and print in the documents created. GO-IEP provides school system administrators with reports to assist with general supervision and state data reporting. In addition, the ability to report all special education events, track and report Timelines, Student Record, and Full Time Equivalent (FTE) data is available through the program. Transferring records between GO-IEP districts is easy and safe. Finally, GO-IEP is supported by a team of program specialists who are eager to assist with any issues you may encounter.

Who is using GO-IEP?

GO-IEP is currently available to all LEAs who locally opt to participate. Almost 180 districts have been trained and are now using GO-IEP. GaDOE is prepared to support additional districts.

Interested in implementing GO-IEP?

For Georgia school districts interested in using GO-IEP, a demonstration of the program’s features with the district’s leadership team should be scheduled. During that demonstration, the GaDOE Program Specialist can explain the features of GO-IEP and answer any questions. To schedule a demonstration, contact the GaDOE Program Specialist assigned to your local Georgia Learning Resources System (GLRS) region.

GO-IEP can be used with the following Student Information Systems (SIS):

  • Infinite Campus
  • Powerschool
  • Aspen
  • Tyler

For other Student Information Systems, GaDOE will provide information to assist the SIS in developing the appropriate access roles needed to work with GO-IEP.
To begin the implementation process, the special education director would download and complete the Georgia Online IEP Application.
