The Division for Special Education Services and Supports is seeking to recognize high school seniors with disabilities who have had outstanding academic, employment, and/or extracurricular accomplishments, as shown by:
Earning a Regular Education Diploma with outstanding academic achievement, successful transition to career education and/or employment, and/or extracurricular involvement in school/community and/or Earning a scholarship to a four-year, two-year, vocational technical school, or acceptance into the Unites Stated Military.
One outstanding senior from each GLRS district will be invited to attend an awards ceremony in Atlanta on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. All nominees will receive a certificate of excellence signed by Mr. Richard Woods, Georgia’s Superintendent of Schools. Nominations are due Friday, March 22, 2019.
