2015-2016 - New Metro Location!!!

GATTAP sessions for the 2015-2016 school year will be held in Albany, Augusta, Jonesboro, Ellijay, Hinesville, and Perry.

Fall GATTAP - September 24 and 25, 2015 for all locations except Ellijay.   Ellijay sessions will be held Oct 8 and 9, 2015.  Participants may sign up to participate for one or both days.

Fall GATTAP sessions will focus on principles of Behavior Management.  For each day participants must view ONE of the following Autism Internet Modules (www.autisminternetmodules.com) that best meets their needs, bring the related posttest as evidence, and be prepared to share key points with the group.  The first 5 modules represent the elements of a productive learning environment.  If these have not been established, the procedures covering the methods in changing behaviors will have little to no effect on changing behaviors for success.

Winter GATTAP - January 28 – January 29, 2016

Winter GATTAP sessions will focus on use of data in comprehensive program planning for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Topics will include use of curriculum-based measures to develop IEP goals/objectives, determine appropriate accommodations/modifications, and inform placement options.  For each day participants must view ONE of the following Autism Internet Modules (www.autisminternetmodules.com) that best meets their needs, bring the related posttest as evidence, and be prepared to share key points with the group.

** If attending both days of the Fall GATTAP sessions participants will be expected to view and bring post tests for TWO Autism Internet Modules.

Seat Hour Verification
Participants must bring the post-tests as their ticket into the sessions (2 seat hours each).  They must attend the session for 6 seat hours per session.  After attending the session participants must use one of the strategies that they learned in the meeting and send the facilitator a description of how the strategy was implemented in a classroom or with a student they serve (2 seat hours). Participants can therefore earn 10 seat hours for each day that they attend and fully participate in the GATTAP process – more if they choose to complete more than 2 modules.  Participants can receive 2 additional seat hour credits for each additional module over the 2 for which they (1) bring a post-test, (2) share key points with the group, and (3) provide evidence of how they use strategies in the classroom.
