 IDEAS Professional Development

Three types of professional development credit can be obtained by attending the IDEAS conference. Please refer to the descriptions below for each type. Conference sessions are equipped with an electronic scanning systems to document attendance. All attendees must scan their nametags at the beginning of each attended session to add a session to their conference transcript.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

CEUs are provided through the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Information regarding CEU credit and current organizations accepting credits please visit the IACET website.  Partial CEUs may be awarded. All CEUs will be confirmed by the IACET after the conference. If you have any questions please contact Georgia Tools for Life.

Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Continuing Education Credit

Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) credit toward certification may be obtained through the Georgia Tools for Life an approved provider. Partial CRCs may be awarded with a minimum of 1.00 clock hour documented. Credit should be requested during the IDEAS registration process. Additional information of CRC requirements may be found on the CRCC website. All credit will be confirmed by the CRCC after the conference. Contact Hours

Attendees may earn up to 16 contact hours for attending IDEAS.  Please consult with your district and/or professional organization to make arrangements prior to the conference to use the contact hours toward your professional development plan. Contact hour verification certificates can be obtained from the Online Conference Report System.
Past conference contact hour verification certificates for 2014 - current year and PLU credit (for applicable years) is available through the Online Conference Report System. Contact hour verification certificates for up to 5 years prior to the current conference year are available upon request by emailing the Georgia Department of Education.
