Wanda Barrs Receives "Friend of Extension" Award

State Board of Education Chair Wanda Barrs has been presented with the "Friend of Extension" award by the Epsilon Sigma Phi fraternity.  The Friend of Extension award recognizes truly outstanding support and personal involvement in Cooperative Extension efforts and is the highest recognition presented to a person not working directly in an Extension program. Ms. Barrs, of Bleckley County, was recognized for her work with Extension programs throughout the state, including the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension program.  Ms. Barrs was presented the award during Epsilon Sigma Phi's annual meeting at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Ga.   Epsilon Sigma Phi is an honorary fraternity dedicated to fostering standards of excellence in the Cooperative Extension System and developing the Extension profession.     Wanda Barrs is shown accepting the Epsilon Sigma Phi “Friend of Extension” award.
