Description of Duties:
  • Participates as an interpreter/consultant during filming and production of accessible media
  • Provides quality control for accessible media by reviewing draft projects for accuracy of language concepts
  • Completes products in a professional and timely manner
  • Works with aParticipates as an interpreter/consultant during filming and production of accessible media

  • Works with and provides consultation for other signers during the production of accessible media
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to advance ASL language and interpreting skillsnd provides consultation for other signers during the production of accessible media

Minimum Qualifications:
  • College Diploma
  • Advanced to Native-like ASL communication/interpreting skills (SLPI Superior and/or Registry of Interpreters forthe Deaf Certification Preferred)
  • Background Knowledge and/or Training in the Linguistics of American Sign Language
  • Proficient in English grammar and composition of print
  • Collaborative - Must work well with students and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
Salary/Benefits:
Temporary/Part-time, hourly position with no benefits. Hourly pay rate of $15-$45 is commensurate with experience and certification.
