Description of Duties:
Under general supervision, provides various direct, technical nursing care functions in accordance with individual nursing care plans and/or as directed by the attending physician or the school clinic nurse.  Administers medications, records required information in patients’ charts, and prepares patients for examinations as necessary.  Observes patients’ conditions and behaviors, and intervenes as appropriate.
Assures all ordered medications are administered and treatments are completed, performing such as the need arises and assuring observation and recording of all necessary information. Monitors location, care, safety, and physical and mental well-being of patients.  The schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications:
A current Georgia license to practice as a licensed practical nurse.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
• One year of experience working with children in an educational setting
• Current CPR certification           
Pay grade 9 - $16,160.47- $28,276.48 annually.  This is a 10-month position paid on a 12-month basis.  Salary will be based on the number of days worked.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Employees’ Retirement.
