Description of Duties:
Under limited supervision, applies professional expertise to activities and projects for Georgia’s alternate assessment based on modified achievement standards (CRCT-M).  Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating and evaluating work plans, procedures, documents, and program activities for the development and implementation of a large-scale state assessment program; providing assistance to local school systems and Georgia Department of Education staff; overseeing and directing item and form development activities, administration procedures, scoring, and reporting; developing, reviewing, and/or revising technical documentation for the CRCT-M; ensuring curricular alignment of the assessment; interpreting data, communicating results, producing reports, monitoring contracts, and developing support activities regarding the use of test data; and  providing assistance with other testing programs within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in educational administration, educational measurement/research, psychology, special education or a related field and two years professional work experience in large-scale assessment, curriculum development and implementation, K-12 school programming,, and/or education program evaluation. 
Note - Doctorate-level coursework in educational measurement/research, psychology, or a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• System or school experience in K-12 education
• School or system experience in special education
• Experience with alternate assessment development or administration
• Experience in contract management
• Experience in educational research and measurement
• Experience with district or state-level test administration
• Doctorate degree in measurement, research, or a related field
Salary/Benefits:
Pay Grade 19 – $52,172.55 (minimum) - $91,137.94 (maximum).  Hiring salary commensurate with current employment and relevant education/training and work experience, and available funding.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
