Description of Duties:
Under general supervision, provides health services for students in a state school clinic.  Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting health screenings; administering medications; providing health education and counseling; serving as a liaison between parents, physicians, and health care agencies regarding the health status of students, as needed; serving as team leader for students who require special medical/health treatment; performing administrative, clerical, and documentation tasks to support clinic activities; supervising assigned employees; and completing other duties as assigned by the school principal.
Minimum Qualifications:
A current Georgia license to practice as a registered professional nurse
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
• Experience working in a residential school setting with visually impaired and or multi-disabled students
• Current CPR certification
• Two or more years of experience as a registered nurse
• Experience as a school nurse          
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Pay grade 14 – $26,143.74 annually (minimum) to $45,745.26 (maximum) annually.  This is a 10-month position paid on a 12-month basis.  Salary will be based on the number of days worked.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Employees’ Retirement.
