Description of Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch to over 200 students; assisting the food service manager by pricing and ordering food items and coordinating storage and rotation of stock; assisting the food service manager by entering data into the computer system to produce accurate reports for submission to the state department;  helping to ensure all state accountability forms are accurately completed on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis; developing schedules and procedures for sanitation of equipment and facility; conducting facility/equipment sanitation and maintenance inspections; supervising food service employees; preparing staff work schedules and tasks; monitoring the quality of meals;  observing adherence to meal schedules; and performing other related duties as assigned. 
Minimum Qualifications:
• One year of full-time institutional food service experience including the preparation of a variety of meats and vegetables using recipes
• Six months experience as supervisor or lead position (excluding fast food and short-order cooking) 
• Willing to learn sign language at the survival level as measured by a Sign Language Proficiency Interview within one year of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
• One year of full-time food service experience in a school setting
• Demonstrates sign language proficiency at the survival level or higher as measured by a Sign Language Communication Instrument
• ServeSafe Certification
Pay grade 9 - Annual salary range is $16,160.47 (minimum) to $28,275.44 (maximum).  Salary is commensurate with experience/employment history, salary history, and available funding.  This is a 10-month position paid on a 12-month basis.  Initial salary will be based on the number of days worked within the current school year.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental, vision and health insurance; annual/sick leave and Employees’ Retirement or Teacher’s Retirement System.
