Description of Duties:
Under limited supervision, provides leadership and coordination for the Special Needs education programs and identified Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) concentrations.  Coordinates appropriate Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).  Duties include, but are not limited to, providing technical assistance for schools to aid in the development of labs and programs; coordinating curriculum development and implementation; maintaining a network of business and industry partnerships with secondary and postsecondary educators; planning and facilitating professional development activities; serving as a liaison with state and national agencies; and serving as the state advisor for the appropriate CTSO and other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) professional educator’s certification.  A Master’s degree in education, education administration, special education or a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience in a professional education capacity in K-12 Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE).  Note: Applicants must submit a copy of GaPSC certification with cover letter, resume and salary history or application; applicants who fail to submit required GaPSC documentation will not be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Knowledge of GPS standards and grant development
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong presentation ability to large audiences
(Note:  Applicant should plan to provide documentation of writing and presentation ability)
• Hold a Georgia Professional Standards Commission certification with Coordinated Career Academic Education (CCAE)/Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) endorsement
Pay Grade N – Annual salary range is $52,331 (minimum) up to $91,579 (maximum).  *Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience and available funding.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
