Description of Duties:
Under limited supervision, coordinates leadership services to local school systems for Health Science Education programs on a statewide basis.  Duties include, but are not limited to, providing technical assistance for schools to aid in the development of labs and programs; coordinating curriculum development and implementation; maintaining a network of business and industry partnerships with secondary and postsecondary educators; planning and facilitating  professional  development; serving as a liaison with state and national agencies/entities on health-related issues; and assists the appropriate career technical student organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold or be eligible for Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) professional educator’s certification; a Master’s degree in education, education administration, career/technical education, or a healthcare-related field and five (5) years of professional-level experience in patient care or in teaching healthcare curriculum in a secondary or postsecondary program setting.  *Must submit a copy of GaPSC certificate/certification or GaPSC eligibility certificate/certification with cover letter, (application) resume and salary history; applicants who fail to submit required GaPSC documentation will not be considered. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Experience at the district or state level in supervising/monitoring programs
Salary/Benefits:
Pay Grade N – Annual salary range is $52,331 (minimum) up to $91,579 (maximum).  *Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience; and available funding.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
