Description of Duties:
Under limited supervision, provides professional-level administrative support for the Deputy Superintendent of School Improvement.  Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing information for the monthly State Board of Education meetings; creating and maintaining electronic databases; conducting advanced clerical research and developing or completing reports; typing, and distributing correspondence, memoranda, and reports; proofreading and correcting general correspondence and other documents; processing incoming and outgoing mail/materials and travel reimbursement for the Deputy Superintendent of School Improvement as assigned; serving as a first line of contact between the Deputy Superintendent and internal/external contacts; completing a variety of tasks and assignments associated with administrative support functions in areas such as purchasing/procurement and personnel; establishing and maintaining filing and record-keeping systems and reference manuals/materials; maintaining confidentiality of information and data privy office; and assisting other divisions within the Office of School Improvement and other duties as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent. 
NOTE: A credit check will be required in connection with procurement card use and administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate’s degree in business from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of related experience in supporting senior-level management –OR- four (4) years of experience providing administrative support to senior-level management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
• Experience using PeopleSoft
• Experience using CONCUR
• Advanced-level computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Successful experience providing advanced administrative support in a fast-paced office environment that required multi-tasking and prioritization of work
Pay grade H- Annual salary ranges from $27,249 (minimum) to $47,685 (maximum). * Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment and relevant education/training and work experience and available funding.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
