Proposed Special Education Rule Amendments

The Georgia Department of Education is preparing to ask the State Board of Education to amend several of the state rules for special education. The documents below are the rules that are going to be amended. You will find the proposed changes in a Track Changes version so you can see the changes. In addition, you will find see the Amended version that shows how the rule will read if the changes are accepted and finally you will see a Summary/Rationale for the changes. Please review the changes and send any comments or suggestions to Nancy O'Hara at nohara@doe.k12.ga.us. We would like to receive all comments by October 20, 2009.
