World Languages and International Education

The global economy of the 21st century requires Georgia students to attain fluency in more than one World Language. As part of our goal to lead the nation in improving student achievement, we are working with districts across the state to ensure well articulated, sequential series of proficiency-based study in traditional and critical languages.

Georgia is set to become an economic powerhouse on the global front. The port of Savannah is one of the fastest growing in the nation and our state is currently an international hub, attracting business from all corners of the globe. We will work to provide our students with language skills absolutely vital to success in diplomacy, economics, business, education and national security.
