Charter Schools
Charter schools are public schools that operate according to the terms of a
charter, or contract, that has been approved by a local board of education and
the State Board of Education.
Communications
Communications keeps the media and the general public informed of news within Georgia schools and the Georgia Department of Education.
Human Resources
Human Resources hires, retains and compensates employees with the skills and abilities to accomplish the purpose and goals of
the Department.
Policy
Policy coordinates the development of policy, research and evaluation projects for the Department and works in accordance with Federal Policy and Programs.
State Schools
State Schools works to provide equal opportunity to students with special needs through state-run schools.
