VISION
It is our vision that schools, teachers and students will achieve at their highest levels. We assist in enabling policy and providing direct support that removes barriers to success and that identifies, recognizes, and empowers strong performance.

The Learning Support Division provides services to schools, teachers, and students that recognize outstanding achievement through the Teacher of the Year, the Milken Awards, the Schools of Excellence, and the Governor’s Honors programs. In addition the division promotes policy and provides assistance that remove barriers to student achievement, coordinates the No Child Left Behind Title IV-A Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities Program, Academic Service Learning Program, and processes student and administrative waivers.
