Georgia Global Workforce & International Education Resources

The Georgia Department of Education World Languages and Global Workforce Initiatives is dedicated to expanding opportunities for all students in the state. We know that Georgia is a key player in the global economy, and that our state benefits from a diverse population of residents who speak the majority of languages heard on the planet. As the world becomes more interconnected, world language fluency and intercultural competency are more important than ever. A wide body of research shows that the study of languages boosts students’ mental flexibility, enhancing their ability to learn all subjects. It also equips students with a broader perspective that nourishes innovation and adaptability in all fields, and impacts Georgia’s global reach and connections.

This page is provided as a resource to world language educators and others who are seeking information on Georgia's global footprint and general resources related to global economic and educational resources in Georgia.
