Donations to the State Schools
With State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox's recent appearance on the TV show "ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?," we have received many requests about how people can donate money to our  three State Schools .  If you would like to donate, please make checks payable to:    Georgia Department of Education   In the "memo" area, please specify one of the three schools, or simply write  "For State Schools"  and the money will be distributed evenly.   Atlanta Area School for the Deaf   Georgia Academy for the Blind   Georgia School for the Deaf    Donations can be sent to the following address:   Georgia Department of Education ATTN: Communications Division 205 Jesse Hill Jr., Dr. 2062 Twin Towers East Atlanta, GA 30334   These donations are tax deductible under  IRS code 170-A .  Please ensure that your address is on the check, or include it in the envelope, so we can send you a tax receipt.  For questions, please contact Matt Cardoza at 404.651.7358 or email  mcardoza@gadoe.org .   Thank you for your generosity!
