​The State Board of Education will hold a public hearing for citizens in the 12th Congressional District on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. The meeting will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Columbia County Commission Auditorium, 630 Ronald Reagan Drive – Building A, Evans, GA 30809.

The 12th Congressional District includes the counties of Richmond, Burke, Jenkins, Screven, Emanuel, Treutlen, Laurens, Wheeler, Montgomery, Toombs, Candler, Bulloch, Evans, Tattnall, Appling, Jeff Davis, and Coffee along with parts of Columbia and Effingham counties. The purpose of the hearing is to hear comments from interested citizens and educators within the congressional district regarding the performance and problems of public education.
