Description of Duties:Under limited general supervision, the L4GA Grant Program Manager oversees project implementation aligned to the goals of the L4GA project. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Implementing the L4GA sub-grant competition
• Preparing items for presentation to the State Board of Education
• Supervising L4GA staff
• Managing multiple budgets and contracts
• Managing grant obligations through grants accounting and the Consolidated Application coordinating technical assistance and managing the professional learning plan to improve literacy instruction in local school systems’ sub-grants
• Ensuring clear and positive communication between the Department of Education (DOE), Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs), local school systems, and schools Note: Extensive travel required ***Submit a copy of the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) professional educator certification. Applicants who fail to submit the required documentation will not be considered.***
Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in education, administration, public administration or a related administrative field in the area of assignment from an accredited college or university AND L-5 certification AND Two years of program management experience in an educational setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Experience working with grants
• Experience working with budgets and state accounting systems
• Experience managing contracts
• Experience supervising professional staff
• Experience in a leadership role in K-12 public education at a state, regional, or system level
• Experience working with Federal programs
• Strong presentation and technology skills
Salary/Benefits: Pay Grade N – Annual salary range $52,331.12 (minimum) to $91,579.45 (maximum). Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment and relevant education/training and work experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
