Description of Duties:Under general to limited supervision, coordinates and manages the development and implementation of statewide Title I Parent and Family Engagement programs to ensure compliance with the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) reauthorized as the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Serving as the primary liaison between the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) and agencies working with parents and families to improve school success and working across unit and divisions to coordinate statewide parent and family engagement activities
• Coordinating and participating in cross-functional monitoring team efforts to review local educational agency (LEA) parent and family engagement compliance documentation
• Developing and implementing tools and guidance to assist LEAs with parent and family engagement compliance as well as parent and family engagement strategies
• Providing technical assistance to local school system personnel
• Developing and conducting professional learning/staff development activities, meetings, and conferences
• Developing parent and family engagement publications
• Developing and implementing parent and family engagement communication initiatives
• Maintaining and applying current knowledge and professional expertise in parent and family engagement strategies; and working collaboratively with stakeholders in various projects and initiatives

Note: This position involves statewide travel and the ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Seven years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Experience in developing and conducting program evaluations/audits
• Experience in designing and conducting comprehensive research
• Experience and working knowledge of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Essential Job Functions:
Salary/Benefits: Pay Grade N – Annual salary range $52,331.12 (minimum) to $91,579.45 (maximum). Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
