Description of Duties:Under general supervision, performs construction, repairs, preventive maintenance and inspections of physical structures, plumbing fixtures/hardware, and electrical devices at an assigned facility. May operate lawn maintenance equipment. Must be available if needed for after-hours emergency repairs. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching; frequent lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.; occasional lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

·         3+ years commercial HVAC experience

·         Associate degree, HVAC trade school certification or 5 years commercial HVAC experience

·         EPA HVAC Certification

·         Certification in Electrical Work

·         Experience cleaning, adjusting and repairing HVAC systems

·         Experience troubleshooting defective HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnosis

·         Experience performing preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC systems

·         Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills

·         Proficient in reading schematics and work plans

·         Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces

 
Essential Job Functions:
Salary/Benefits: Pay Grade I: Annual Salary range is $29,973 (minimum) to $52,453 (maximum). This is a 12-month position and is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training, previous work experience and available funding. Benefit options include life, disability, dental, vision, and health insurance, annual and sick leave and Employees Retirement System of Georgia.
