Under general
supervision, provide support and assistance to the Georgia Mobile Audiology
team including support for assessment and treatment for persons with hearing
loss. Up to 75% travel may be required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Within the approved
guidelines of Georgia’s Audiology Licensing board and under the supervision of
a licensed Audiologist, the Audiology Assistant will:

Provide
support to the Audiologist in performing newborn hearing testing and
comprehensive behavioral testing for school-aged children
·
Assist
in the coordination of mass hearing screenings
·
Assist
in the education of families and professionals concerning the impact of hearing
loss
·
Maintain
accurate documentation and supply inventory
·
Assist
with equipment maintenance
·
Assist
with driving the Mobile Audiology clinic
·
Maintains
the database for audiology resources including (but not limited to) resources
for Medicaid, transportation help, location of audiologists, etc.
·
Coordinates
the travel schedule and travel requisitions/reports for the Georgia Mobile
Audiology team
·
Answers
questions from families and school districts who are interested in the services
of Georgia Mobile Audiology
·
Receives
additional training, as needed, or required. Must pursue Audiology Assistant
license in the state of Georgia · Other duties as assigned |
