Preference
will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum
qualifications, possess one or more of the following:

Master's
degree in education, educational administration, English Language Arts, or a
related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of professional
education experience in K-12 mathematics curriculum instruction with a specific
focus on supporting English learners at the school, district or state level AND
evidence of success in development and delivery of professional learning for a
variety of stakeholders
·
Experience
implementing effective mathematics programs and curricula for teaching ELs as
an instructional mathematics coach/leader at the school, district, RESA, or
state level
·
Experience
implementing the K-12 ELD standards, language proficiency supports and
interventions at the classroom and/or school level through an evidence-based
framework for ELs
·
Experience
as collaborative ESOL teacher with a qualified mathematics teacher
·
ESOL
endorsement and/or ESOL certification, and experience teaching ELs
·
Evidence
of planning, coordinating, and evaluating effective professional learning
programs/activities
·
Evidence
of instructional design, distance/virtual learning and/or digital
communications
·
Evidence
improving teachers’ skills in meeting the diverse needs of English learners
(ELs)
·
Strong
knowledge of and experience implementing the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE)
for Mathematics
·
Strong
knowledge of research, performance standards, high-leverage, and evidence-based
practices for teachers of ELs
·
Strong
computer and instructional technology skills, including proficiency in
Microsoft Office suite and web-based meeting/training platforms · Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both virtual and in-person
