Description of Duties:Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Manages the security access for the facility and all modifications on a day to day basis. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. Duties including assisting contractors or skilled trades workers with major repairs or renovations, building and maintaining facility signs, maintaining stocking equipment and supplies as needed, maintaining grounds, parking, and storage areas performing routine carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, monitoring condition of facilities, moving furniture, operating hand tools and power cleaning equipment, performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance and inspection of the facilities or buildings, following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions and report to the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:Three (3) years of related experience; -OR- one (1) year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Worker 2 or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following: • Two (2) years’ experience in HVAC service. • ASL proficiency at 2+ or above as measured by the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI).
Salary/Benefits: Fulltime, 12-month position, Pay Grade D – Annual Salary range $18,611.26 (minimum) to $26,587.52 (maximum) based on experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Employee’s retirement system (ERS). Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training, and work experience.
