Description of Duties:
Under general supervision, uses independent judgment and initiative to provide personal assistance and advanced administrative support Technology Services director-level positions for Data Collections, Instructional Technology, and Software Development teams.  Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating work flow and payment for contracts; serving as a communications link between assigned programs and internal/external contacts; making arrangements for appointments, conferences, and travel; conducting comprehensive clerical research using the Internet, electronic files, and other readily accessible sources; creating and maintaining electronic databases using Microsoft Excel and/or Access; composing, typing, and distributing correspondence, memos, and reports; proofreading and correcting correspondence and other documents; participating in the development of office procedures; processing incoming and outgoing mail and/or materials as assigned; completing a variety tasks and assignments associated with administrative support functions in areas such as personnel, budget, bookkeeping, and purchasing/procurement; establishing and maintaining filing and record-keeping systems and reference manuals/materials; preparing information for State Board of Education meetings; and completing other special projects and activities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two (2) years of related administrative support experience supporting a mid- or senior-level manager OR an Associate’s degree in a business related field. Note: A criminal background check and credit check will be conducted for the candidate selected for this position, as required for state purchasing card holders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in business administration or a related field
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with contracts administration
• Experience providing administrative support to executive-level administrator(s)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Successful experience providing advanced administrative support in a fast-paced office environment that required multi-tasking and prioritization of work 
Salary/Benefits: Pay Grade F – Annual salary range is $22,520 (minimum) up to $38,283 (maximum). Hiring salary range is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
