Description of Duties:Under general supervision, serves as the primary point of contact for providing and/or coordinating technical assistance and support services to local school systems on comprehensive program planning/implementation and staff development for Title I, Part A program services. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Communicating verbally and in writing and providing direct technical and implementation support services to local school systems for the Title I, Part A grant program in accordance with federal regulations, policies, guidance, and instruction, and with state rules and State Board of Education policy • Monitoring progress of statewide program implementation, evaluating results, and recommending changes and improvements • Facilitating the improvement of student achievement in local school systems through coordination of the Title I, Part A program with other programs, agencies, and community partners • Reviewing, supporting the development of, and approving consolidated applications for annual local school system Title I, Part A grant funding • Participating on cross-functional monitoring teams • Preparing accurate reports, position papers, memoranda, guidelines or other documents related to the Title I, Part A grant that communicate information clearly and adequately; and, presenting at state and regional events/conferences • Statewide travel is required • Candidates for this position must comply with the GaDOE Telework Policy and will be required to report to Central Office/Headquarters in Atlanta for staff meetings and training sessions
Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Seven years of related experience. Must submit a copy of GaPSC certification with cover letter, resume and salary history or with application. Applicants who do not submit required certification documentation will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following: Hold Georgia professional educator certification • Expertise in the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as reauthorized under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015 • Experience with the coordination or administration of Title I, Part A programs at a local or state level • Experience in a local school system central office with responsibility for managing a federal grant program(s) • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word • Advanced skills in collaborative school system wide planning and engagement • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Salary/Benefits: Pay grade N – Annual salary range is $52,331 (minimum) to $91,579 (maximum). Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience.
