Program/Unit:Division of State Schools
Description of Duties: Under broad supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes, as well as specialized clerical functions in support of Atlanta Area School for the Deaf.
Duties include:
• Responsible for managing the student registration process
• Scheduling IEP meetings
• Ensuring accurate daily attendance
• Maintaining complete student records
• Running report cards and progress reports and data reporting (FTE)
Applicants will be required to obtain an American Sign Language Proficiency Instrument (ASLPI) rating of 2 or above within three years from date of hire.
Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and four years of progressively complex office or administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate with LSS, transportation contacts and parents for IEP purposes on daily basis
• Experience with Infinite Campus, GoIEP, and GaDOE portal
Salary/Benefits: Fulltime, 12-month position. Pay grade E – Annual salary range $20,472.39 (minimum) to $34,803.06 (maximum). Hiring salary commensurate with current employment and relevant education/training and work experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement.
