Description of Duties:
Under close supervision, performs routine maintenance of building, facilities, and grounds to provide an acceptable, safe, serviceable, clean, and attractive facility.  Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting contractors or skilled trades workers with major repairs/renovations; maintaining facility signs; maintaining and stocking equipment and supplies as needed; maintaining grounds, parking, and storage areas; managing the security access system for the facility and all modifications on a day-to-day basis; monitoring condition of facility; moving furniture; operating hand tools and power cleaning equipment; performing routine carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs; and performing routine repairs, preventative maintenance and inspection of the facilities or buildings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of training and experience that would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Basic knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL)
• High school graduate with valid driver’s license
• Experience and/or training in building maintenance or related area
• Ability to lift heavy objects
Pay grade 6 - Annual salary range $15,762.46 (minimum) to $25,174.60 (maximum).  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers Retirement.
