Description of Duties:
Under general supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, Internet system, computers, desktops, and/or mobile devices.  Performs necessary maintenance to support network availability.  Designs, configures, and tests computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.  Diagnoses hardware and software problems, replaces defective components for both personal computing and printing devices.  Escalates problems to vender and/or developer for advanced debugging or software corrections, including warranty repairs of computer hardware.  Evaluates new technologies or solutions to improve services and efficiency of systems.  Images computer hardware and moves user data.  Prepares user instructions and documentation for the installation and operation of software and software upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of related experience OR Associate degree in a related field and three years of related experience OR Five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications possess one or more years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Experience in supporting 350 plus users in a Windows networking environment
• Experience supporting remote users
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
• Working knowledge of Apple hardware on a Windows LAN
• Experience with network wiring
• Experience in supporting Lotus Notes/Outlook/Office365 mail accounts
• Working knowledge of LANDesk Management systems.
• Experience with Lenovo personal computing systems
• Experience with HP and Xerox printing/multifunction systems
• Completion of technology certification programs
Pay Grade M– Annual salary range is $46,311 (minimum) up to $81,044 (maximum).  Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience and available funding.  Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
