Program/Unit:Atlanta Area School for the Deaf/Division of State Schools
Description of Duties:Under direct supervision of Food Service Supervisor or designee prepares basic and general food preparation service for the breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner programs of state schools division. Assists in receiving, storage, preparation services of food in the cafeteria, or designated locations for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner programs. Cleans equipment; maintains cleanliness of work area. May receive and disburse money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware. Orientation for Nutrition Employees training must be successfully completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Education requirements within one (l) year of hire.
Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED AND six months of experience in the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. • Ability to stand for periods of three (3) hours without breaks
Salary/Benefits: Pay Grade B: ,b>Annual salary range $16,000.00 (minimum) to S25,379.00 (maximum). This is a 10-month position paid on a 12-month basis. Initial salary will be based on the number of days worked within the current school year. Benefit options include life, disability, dental, vision and health insurance; annual/sick leave and Employees’ Retirement or Teacher's Retirement System.
