Description of Duties:

Under limited supervision, provides statewide leadership and coordination for Work-Based Learning programs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership and coordination in the development and administration of statewide materials and career cluster programs
  • Providing planning and consultative services to local schools and systems
  • Identifying professional development needs; developing appropriate training materials and methods in conjunction with other staff and agencies to address identified needs and ensure coordination of professional development activities
  • Creating and managing statewide advisory committees comprised of stakeholders representing the entire state
  • Assessing status of program implementation, documenting results, and recommending changes and improvements based on research and evaluation data 
  • Coordinating the development of the Georgia Performance Standards curriculum development and implementation; maintaining a network of business and industry partnerships with secondary and postsecondary educators
Providing assistance to Georgia CTSOs

Submit a copy of the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) professional educator certification.  Applicants who fail to submit the required documentation will not be considered.
Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:

·         Master’s degree in education, education administration, or a related field and three years of teaching experience

·         Active involvement and experience in development and/or implementation of Work-Based programs in a school setting

·         Knowledge of and experience in working with performance standards-based instruction

·         Knowledge of and experience in working with business and industry

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
Essential Job Functions:

Pay Grade L – annual salary range is $40,982.94 (minimum) to $71,720.15 (maximum).

Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training and work experience.

Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
