EANS II Program
The purpose of the Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) program is to provide services or assistance to eligible non-public schools to address educational disruptions caused by COVID-19.

- Ending: 9/30/2023, Tydings (Carryover) Period: 9/30/2024
- May only serve non-public schools that enroll a significant percentage of students from low-income families (40% or higher or an alternate significant percentage approved by the Secretary of State) and most impacted by COVID-19
- Reimbursement is NOT an Allowable Activity
EANS II Eligibility
Is accredited, licensed, or otherwise operates in accordance with State law
Was in existence prior to March 13, 2020, the date COVID-19 was declared a national emergency
Students from Low Income Families Data (TBD)
Did not, and will not, apply for and receive a loan under the Small Business Administration's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) (15 U.S.C. 636(a)(37)) that is made on or after December 27, 2020.
On Friday, July 9, USED posted final requirements regarding the implementation of the Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) program under the ARP. Georgia’s EANS II-ARP award allocation is $75,408,050.
The Georgia State Governor's Office submitted the EANS II-ARP Application for Funding to USED on September 9, 2021. USED is currently under review of the application and will provide an award letter upon completion.
Additional updates will be forthcoming regarding the EANS II Program application process and timeline for non-public schools through the Georgia Department of Education. The EANS II Program launch date is anticipated for late October 2021.
