What Works

Research-Proven and Data-informed Practices

Evidence-based practices are research-proven. They have multiple research studies that suggest that in many contexts, for many teachers, and for many students, the practice will indeed improve student learning.

See the Road Map and Tool Kit (bottom of the page) for these practices.

Culturally, Linguistically, and Developmentally Appropriate Practices:These practices are grounded in research on child development and learning and educational effectiveness in early care and education.

Dual Language Immersion

Scalable and Sustainable

The L4 plan is designed to be accomplished through collaboration within and across agencies with deliberate efforts to scale what works to reach the maximum number of schools and districts across Georgia.

Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy: Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy provided sustainable professional learning and resources for teachers and administrators to improve literacy skills and reading performance of students from birth to grade twelve.
