 GaMEP Summer Camps


The Georgia Department of Education's Title I, Part C - Migrant Education Program (MEP) has identified high school dropout prevention and increased awareness of post-secondary opportunities for migrant students as a priority. Through coordination with Georgia Southern University, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, and the University of Georgia, the MEP provides middle and high school priority for service (PFS) students the opportunity to apply for these residential  summer programs each year.

The dates and locations for the 2015 camps are as follows:

Georgia MEP Summer Leadership Academy at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC)

                Tifton, Georgia

                May 31 – June 12, 2015

Interested migrant students should carefully review the camp information on this site, talk with their parents or guardians, and work with their school’s migrant staff to complete the application process. 

Final applications must be submitted online at this link between March 16 – April 1, 2015:
